Why your monitor is lying to you.
Dyed cotton reflects light differently from a backlit screen, and no two panels calibrate the same. The swatches above are close, but they are not a colour standard. If a shade matters to your customer, work from a physical card.
Colour cards are free to trade accounts and ship with the current lot reference printed on the back, so you can quote against a specific standard rather than a name.
Good to know
- Heathers are 52/48 cotton-poly and read lighter than solids
- Tri-blend colours carry a different name set — ask for the crossover list
- Fleece colours are matched to the tee range but knit differently, so expect a small shift
- Dye lots are held to dE 1.0 on core, dE 1.5 on seasonal
- Lot numbers are printed on every case label
